Action Fence Company of Chattanooga is a family-owned fence company at 6425 Hixson Pike #4 in Hixson, Tennessee. Greg Palmer's father started it in 1981, Greg has owned it since 1985, and our crews carry more than 150 years of combined fencing experience across Hamilton County and North Georgia.
Our Story
Action Fence was started and run by Greg Palmer's father in 1981. Greg took over the business in 1985 and has run it ever since. Over those years Action has become one of the premier fence design and installation companies in Tennessee, and it has grown to serve North Georgia as well.
Our tagline says what the work is for: protecting who you love and what you love most. Being in business this long doesn't happen by accident. It comes from approaching every fencing job, no matter how big or small, with openness, transparency, and attentiveness, and from treating people fairly and respectfully, before and after the work is done. Every client is more than a customer to us. They're a partner.

How We Work
A fence consultant starts with a consultation to learn what you want, takes precise measurements, and presents a formal proposal. Once you're under contract, materials are purchased and shipped to our storage yard in Sale Creek. On install day the crew meets you for a final look at property lines and gate placement, then builds. The average job takes about two days, depending on its size and anything unexpected.

We're fully licensed, insured, and bonded. Every installation carries our standard one-year craftsmanship warranty, and the materials are backed by their vendors' warranties. After 45 years in business, you can be confident we'll be around to honor it.
